1,000 Books Before Kindergarten asks parents and caregivers to commit to reading 1,000 books with their children before entering kindergarten. You will receive rewards along the way! Every 100 books parents and caregivers read with their child, they will receive a sticker and a free book to keep! The library has a 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten wall. As your child achieves new milestones with reading, their star moves along the wall until they reach 1,000 books! Once you have finished the program, your child will receive a certificate of achievement!
All reward books are sponsored by the Friends of the Royalton Hartland Community Library. Have questions about our early-literacy 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program and how to get started? Contact the library and speak with a staff member!
